# Image Translator

> Translate the text inside an image into another language and return a new image.

>
> 1. After submission, a `task_id` will be returned. If you provided a `callback_url`, when the task status becomes `finished` or `failed`, a POST request will be sent to the `callback_url`.
> 2. Regardless of whether `callback_url` is provided, you can retrieve the response result through the unified [Query Task Status](https://docs.poyo.ai/api-manual/task-management/status.md) endpoint.

Image Translator detects the text in one image, translates it, and returns a new image with the translated text in place. Use it for product images, posters, screenshots, and marketing assets.

## Models

* **poyo-ai/image-translator** — Translate the text in one image

## Required parameters

* `image_urls` (array of strings): Exactly one image URL. JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, or BMP, up to 50 MB.
* `target_language` (string): Language to translate into, for example `en`, `zh`, `ja`, `ko`, `fr`, `de`, `es`, `pt`, or `ru`.

## Optional parameters

* `source_language` (string): Language of the text in the image. Default is `auto`, which detects the language.

## Output

A finished task returns one translated image in `files` with `file_type: image`.

## Examples

* **Translate an image into Japanese** — sets `image_urls`, `source_language`, `target_language`.

## Notes

* Only one image is accepted per task.
* The image URL must be publicly accessible. PoYo checks the URL before submitting and rejects unreachable files, unsupported types, and files over 50 MB.
